We identified vulnerabilities that were difficult to be identified with automated network or any vulnerability scanning software. We identified open ports and running applications, and used the metasploit tool to scan all the running and free ports on the machine to ensure there is no leak in the system.

Mathematical logics included arithmetic, ratios, sum, division, etc. We eased the process of by opting round robin style. With this method, we could test the games in such a way that each game was being touched every week. The client wanted a dedicated team with 12×7 hrs support to keep them up-to-date with an hourly status of the articles published on their blog. We divided the team into 6 hours shifts wherein every 5 minutes, status was provided to the client. We also Cross-checked whether all the sponsored banner images and videos are played correctly.

We were required to automate application using TestingAnyWhere. Due to the limitation of this tool, we choose another tool to automate and did a small POC. We researched on few automation tools and verified all points with automation tools: TestComplete, SilkTest, Ranorex, TestingAnyWhere, and finally selected Ranorex automation tool. It saved much of the time and cost involved in Regression Testing.

We modified all the existing test scripts provided to us by automation team and ensured proper and customized error message should be displayed at script failure highlighting the root cause of the failure. We also eliminated unwanted sleep and robot methods and used Selenium inbuilt functions. After script execution, sent a status report in html format via email to client.

We were required to quickly learn the product and start testing features delivered by the development team. Some of the critical paths to be tested were money flow, fee processing and revenue sharing on UI and database. We quickly developed an understanding of the application by coordinating with Onshore and Offshore development team. We prepared Requirement Traceability Matrix to gauge test case coverage corresponding to each requirement. Multiple review cycles ensured that there was no requirement miss for testing. Client wanted us to test EcoNet system integrated with multiple sources – EcoNet mobile app, EcoNet Wi-Fi Module, EcoNet control system, Water management system, and Nest Event application. We analyzed existing tests, test plans, designs, and test implementation and did gap filling for more coverage. Tools like Robot automation framework, Appium, and WebDriver helped in cutting down the overall project cost, quick turnaround, increased productivity and reliability.
