- The goals which you set while testing should match the business objectives. In addition to the business requirements, there might be corporate requirements as well. However, you should not diverge from testing the aspects related to business; else you might miss large defects. By emphasizing more on business requirements, you will be able to provide comprehensive mobile testing services. Identify the business metric and figure out what the app is supposed to do. Prioritize the tests, with testing the custom developed logic first, if required.
- Determine the Key Performance Identifiers (KPI), as they are directly linked to your business objectives. Identifying the KPIs help in delivering desired results.
- You should not rely on the emulation results completely. Though you can emulate anything you like, but it can’t give accurate results as compared to what you get from actual devices. Emulations are especially helpful in cases where the software fails to show all device-related possible specifications. For example, emulations can be used when server-related data is under test.
- You must give special importance to interactions. An application can be influenced by the notifications and text messages they get all the time. In addition to the interruptions like call and text, you must also test the alarm ring and dead battery notification, which often go missing from most of the testing scope.
